STELLA is a glass object before it is a light source. The same biconical form that stands on a shelf becomes a pendant when fitted with a rod — the boundary between the two is not a design decision. It is the point.

The glass is hand-blown Czech crystal, made in Crystal Valley, Nový Bor — a region with over three centuries of continuous craft in glass blowing and cutting. The form is organic and asymmetric; the surface is where the idea becomes specific.

In Stella, that surface is structured entirely by hand-cut convex lenses, each one individually ground and polished. The lenses are irregular in arrangement, consistent in precision. The pattern draws from the regmaglypts found on meteorites — shallow, rounded depressions shaped by pressure and atmosphere. Not ornament. Geology.

Each lens refracts light differently depending on the angle and the distance of the viewer. Up close, the surface reads as precise and layered, almost crystalline in character. From across a room, the pendant becomes a field of moving light: small, sharp reflections shifting as the room and its occupants move.

When lit, the lenses direct light outward and across the room. The effect changes with every hour of the day.
